Which comes first -- sex, feeling, or music? Doesn't matter, because they're
intertwined in a way that doesn't force us to choose. Visually and musically
Video Vision wants you to feel, feed, and react. Video Vision is not an exercise in
hedonism, but an independent music video show that seeks to spawn
"something" in ourselves and our viewers. But truly free expression is guarded by access.
Our vision is to be your alternative access to music and music videos. Many artists and their videos are passed over by the national mega players or radio, broadcast and industry awards because they didn't fit neatly enough into the corporate either-or: not commercially viable, too political, the wrong sexuality, musically inaccessible, visually beyond the standard TV cutouts, etc. That's not to say we only play inaccessible, art "wanker-ish" smut. But we are up for the challenge of weighing all the gems of personal expression and broadcasting them for the viewer to see and judge for themselves, encouraging the dialog rather than silencing it to through the lack of access. We like to program unsigned bands, banned videos and controversial artists because it provokes a brighter, shinier, interesting dialog for us and our viewers. We don't believe in marketing weirdness for the sake of hype, but in the belief that our audience will take that content and truly feel something--awe, disgust, jubilance, rage, or just a good deep laugh.
